“When David and Clarisa first met, the sparks didn't fly right away because the timing wasn't right. Clarisa wanted to focus on her studies and they didn't have the opportunity to get to know each other more. When they lost contact for quite a while, Clarisa realized that without David's presence there was a void she could not understand. So after reaching out to David, they began talking again and between he loving texts and late-night calls, their relationship blossomed.
Their pre-wedding photos were taken at Mt. Bromo, the scenery was breathtaking and the weather was cold but they had each other to keep warm. When the shoot was almost done, there was an unexpected sand storm. The chaos was beautiful in its own way so we took photos in the sandstorm. David and Clarisa were very patient, though they had sand everywhere, the photos were amazing and the experience was unforgettable
I really hope we can work together again in another photoshoot! I wish you two lifetime of happiness.” - Indra Wijaya

Dennis & Nia PreWedding | Sapporo
“Their love story began 8 years ago, they went to the same college, lived in the same apartment building and even had the same circle of friends. Dennis was a calm and easy going guy while Nia was an active, organized social butterfly. They were polar opposites and yet they fell hard for each other. It turns out polar opposites not only attract but also compliments each other very well.
Dennis finally proposed to Nia during a family trip to Japan. Nia was caught off guard and filled with excitement she even forgot to say yes! But without even saying yes, deep down in her heart of hearts she never doubted that Dennis was the one for her because he was always there and cared for her even at her worst. It was a long time coming and it's safe to say that their journey was worth it.
My experience with Dennis and Nia was truly exceptional, they were incredibly friendly and we got along so well from the start. From our first meeting with Inggrid our stylist, they were very cooperative and we had the same vision for this prewedding shoot. I also enjoyed the time I spent with them throughout the shoot, they were calm when we encountered problems and we worked together well to find alternatives and solutions.
Thankfully, the pre-wedding session in Sapporo and Otaru went very well with the help of our tour guide Peter. For example, when we were at Moerenuma Park, we did not have permits to shoot there, yet Peter helped arrange things so that we could do the photoshoot without a hitch.
Photoshoots with Dennis and Nia were nothing short from fun and effortless. They were very easy to direct, natural and relaxed, even Dennis who was usually very uncomfortable in front of a camera. Shooting their pre-wedding was an experience that we’ll treasure for a lifetime, and they even called us pre-wedding dream team. We bonded and at some point, I didn't feel like a photographer, rather, a precious friend.
I hope God guides them in this journey they are on because I know there are a lot of trials and obstacles they have to face after marriage. But I have no doubt that they are able to persevere because I've seen how good they are with each other. All the best for the both of you and may God bless your marriage!” - Donatus Ariel

Andres & Elvira PreWedding | Brisbane
“Andres and Elvira have known each other since they were in high school. She was known to be intelligent, which came to no surprise that she was the president of the student council at that time, and that's what made Andres fell in love with her. Their journey of love is not an easy one either. They had to work in different office and country, and they managed to maintain trust and keep in contact with each other. Andres works at E&Y as a consultant, while Elvira works at L'Oreal Hong Kong. It turns out that distance is not a problem for the two of them, for they are able to commit and advance to marriage.
In the first meeting, I had an impression that Elvira is a very strict person, while Andres is very friendly. However, I was wrong. They are a very fun couple as they complete each other in everything. They didn't even have any second thought on trusting me as their pre-wedding photographer. Besides, Monica (Ariel's wife) jokingly recommended Nomina to Andres at Bridestory Market. Luckily, they fell in love and were interested in my style and decided to get the full package with Nomina.
They are a very busy couple. Initially, their pre-wedding photoshoot destination choice landed on Indonesia, but they later changed their mind and decided on Brisbane after they visited a travel fair since there are places that they had yet to visit. To be honest, even I had a hard time deciding on the photoshoot spots and locations, because there aren't that many eye-catching spots. Fortunately, they are very casual and easygoing. There are times when we had to change location on the spot and they didn't mind it at all. The best one would be when Elvira only used our makeup artist for day 1 during their 3-day pre-wedding trip and she did her own makeup for the remaining 2 days. It's obvious that they put a lot of effort into their pre-wedding in Brisbane, and it made me excited to take pictures of them.
One time we had to head back to the hotel to drop some of our luggage and to change outfit, but Andres accidentally left the key inside the car with the doors locked, which means we couldn't use the car and we couldn't resume our photoshoot in the next location until we received a spare key, which is the next day. I was very much impressed by their steady and unchanged mood and they tried to solve the problem without blaming each other at all.
I really hope that they can never lose faith on each other and always be passionate on everything that they do in the future so that they can always inspire other couples to support and stay committed to each other in every situation. Juno Production and I look forward to capture more of your journey, starting from maternity, new born, kids, family and others.” - Donatus Ariel

Stanley & Cindy PreWedding
“Stanley and Cindy are a rather unique couple to me. They are neighbors, went to the US for university, and they met again when they came back to Indonesia and started a relationship since then.
At first, I thought that Stanley is very stiff and would let Cindy take care of the pre-wedding photoshoot, because Cindy did handle everything. After chatting and getting know more about them, I found out that Cindy is more into fashion than Stanley. I have been trusted twice to be their pre-wedding photographer: studio and outdoor (Mount Pancar). They even trusted me again to be their wedding photographer. Starting from the concept and outfit selection, I really liked them and was very passionate to photograph them.
When we were at the studio, they brought Shimo (Cindy's dog) to join them in the frame, which significantly improved their mood and they seemed to enjoy every moment of it. They are a couple that can easily fit into every concept, because they look so natural and makes everything so easy and effortless. We didn't run into any issues at all during the photoshoot. In fact, I enjoyed it so much.
Our second meeting was when we were at Mount Pancar. It was as early as 6:30am in the morning and we had 3 concepts in mind. We finished the first two without any issues. It was almost noon when we were about to shoot for the third concept but Stanley seemed to be tired and hungry. Therefore, we decided to take a short break. Not long after, Stanley came back to us with a huge smile on his face along with a meatball vendor that he called to fill our stomach. When me, the team, and Cindy had finished our meal, Stanley was still chowing down his third bowl. He was starving because he didn't have anything since morning. We wrapped up our photoshoot for the third concept just in time as the rain began to pour. I felt very fortunate that day, as if the God had planned it all out, and we were able to head back to Jakarta with joy and satisfaction.
I wish you two a long-lasting relationship, be a great gift for others, and have a child soon.” - Donatus Ariel

Albert & Elisse PreWedding | Bali
“Albert and Elisse are an admirable couple. They spent most of their relationship in a long-distance relationship, and there aren't that many people that could last until marriage. They really are an amazing couple.
When I first met her, I could immediately tell that Elisse is an extremely kind person. It's probably due to her occupation in the education development field, which requires her to be humble and friendly. On the other hand, Albert seemed to have a quite stiff personality, but once I got to know him in Bali, it turns out that he is otherwise.
Taking pictures of them was also effortless. It felt so enjoyable that the whole trip felt like a very enjoyable trip with friends.
The most memorable moment is when Elisse booked a big room each for the team. Elisse always tries to deliver the best to others. It's like her love language is her act of service. She would always make sure that we were comfortable. They're definitely the best.
See you on your big day, Albert and Elisse! Let's keep in touch, and thank you so much for putting your trust on me to capture your moments!” -Benny Lim

Danny & Nanette PreWedding
“During our first meeting discussing the concept of their pre-wedding in the studio, I asked Danny and Nanette about how they met. It turns out that they met at Union Café, one of the most well-known cafés in Jakarta. Therefore, the concept of their pre-wedding photoshoot is set with a semi-café background.
The most memorable about them is that they were very detailed and thorough about their pre-wedding starting from the location, outfit, makeup, even the ornaments. Danny works in an office while Nanette is a teacher. They have a very tight schedule and yet they were able to spare some time to prepare for their pre-wedding. They put a lot of effort into this photoshoot, and therefore, I gave my all as well in this photoshoot to capture the best pictures to meet their expectation.
When I took pictures of them, they were very awkward and nervous on their poses. I tried to break the ice by talking to them and joking around so that they can be more relaxed. When our stylist Sylvia, gave directions for their pose, they felt awkward with their poses. I was able to get great shots thanks to their love for each other.
The funniest and the most memorable moment is when I asked them to re-enact the moment when the two of them first met at Union Café during the photoshoot session. It really was quite awkward that it’s funny.
I wish you guys a lifetime of love and happiness. Hopefully, you like the pictures and hold dear to them and everything sails smoothly.” - Indra Wijaya

Albert & Jennifer PreWedding | Melbourne
“Albert and Jen went to the same middle school, with Albert being Jen’s senior. Since then, they have been in contact with each other. He started to grow affection towards Jen during high school. However, they took a different path. Albert moved to the US while Jen moved to Melbourne for university and work. They even had their on and off in their relationship. They sort of went their separate ways as they had their own life to live, and Albert kept on finding a way to stay in touch with Jen.
It was 2014, and they finally met each other again for the first time in a while. At that time, Jen was having a medical condition on her leg. They met each other again during a retreat and they talked, and Albert kept on being by her side. When Albert traveled around the world, he kept on sending Jen postcards from around the world even though Jen said that she had no idea of what’s going to happen after the surgery. Albert promised to always love her regardless of her condition, even though Jen still wasn’t sure about how she felt about him. In 2016, Jen was going to have a surgery, and Albert flew back from the US and brought her board games and fruits to cheer her up and tried to calm her down before the surgery. At that time, Albert said, “That’s what good friends will do,” and that’s the moment when Jen actually fell for him. There is no one in his right mind would go back all the way to Jakarta from the US if it’s not for love. Henceforth, they have been together and planned to get married in 2018.
If there’s one word that describes them the best, it would be “loveable”. Albert and Jen love to joke around a lot, fun to talk to, and they share a lot of their love and life experiences. They were able to spare some time to prepare for their pre-wedding photoshoot, even though they were in different places. That’s a prime example of teamwork and cooperation in a relationship.
Capturing pictures of them couldn’t get any more fun. We spent two days for the photoshoot: one day in Melbourne, and the other day at the outskirt of Melbourne around Daylesford. Even though it was very windy in Melbourne, the photoshoot went quite well. To make the trip even better, we had a road trip to Daylesford and we talked a lot when we were on the way, allowing me to know more about them. We even made a stop and explored a lot of spots on our way to Daylesford, because they are just too good to be missed.
The most memorable moment is when it was drizzling while we were in Daylesford. We waited in the car for the rain to subside, and get back to take photos, only to be greeted with rain again, and we had to get back in the car. Even so, we had a lot of fun and it was very enjoyable to take pictures of them.
To Albert and Jen, thank you for trusting me. Hope everything goes well, and all the best for you two!” - Indra Wijaya
““We have known each other since middle school, and even secretly had feelings for each other.” It was the first thing that Johan and Finna mentioned when they were asked about how they met. Many times they had to go their separate ways: one time Johan had to go to Australia for school, and another time Finna had to go to China for college. Even so, they always stayed in touch with each other whenever one of them is in town. They became close during college years and started dating, even though it was a rocky path that they had to go through a long-distance relationship and broke up for 2 years when Finna moved to China. Fortunately, they got back together again once Finna finished her study in China and got a job in Australia. It’s like what people say, “True love will always find its way.” They later came back to Indonesia for good and decided to get married.
Johan and Finna, who happens to be a friend of Nomina’s stylist, Sylvia, started to scout for vendors for their wedding. We discussed about the concept of the pre-wedding photoshoot in our first meeting and their decision landed on Bromo for their outdoor photoshoot. They prefer simple, natural, and candid photoshoot. Taking pictures of them was a lot of fun and very loveable. Here are the selected fruits of Johan and Finna’s photoshoot. I can’t wait to capture the moments on their wedding day!” - Indra Wijaya
"The first time Jason and Gita knew each other is when Jason found her contact number and get acquainted with her. He sent her flowers and met her when she was in town for an event. Though it may sound creepy, but Jason is actually a very nice person and was serious when he went after Gita. Hence, she fell in love with him.
Jason is a good-looking man of Chinese descent, while Gita is a gorgeous lady from Surabaya. I may have not known a lot about Jason, but I’ve met Gita before in an event in Jakarta, and I can say that they are a very humble and kind-hearted couple.
The most memorable about the photoshoot is that they are very willingly. One time I told them to climb the rocks at The Rocks in Sydney and they did anyway.
Jason turns out to be a very funny person. We talked a lot about business and work, and I still hang out with Jason even after we got back from Australia over a cup of coffee. I always love it when I get to have a new friend from work.
I genuinely hope that you two would last forever, be more romantic, love God more, and have beautiful children soon. Also, let’s meet up when you’re in Jakarta!" - Benny Lim

Louis & Rova PreWedding | Singapore
"The first time I met with Rova was at the end of last year when we were discussing about the preparation of their pre-wedding photoshoot in Singapore. I was quite confused when we met because Rova came to me by herself. It turns out that Louis is staying in Germany for work, when Sylvi and I asked her about it, and they have been in a long-distance relationship for a long while. Another question that popped up in my head was why they didn’t decide on Germany as their photoshoot destination, since there are so many beautiful places in Germany. It’s because that they love oriental and Chinese-themed photoshoot. They initially decided on Shanghai, but after they put everything into consideration, they ended up with Singapore as their pre-wedding photoshoot destination.
Long story short, one thing that amazes me the most about them is when a couple committed to a long-distance relationship for many years, they only get to meet each other every once in a blue moon, and yet they managed to overcome the obstacles, even though they are miles apart, and Jakarta and Stuttgart are 5 hours apart from each other. They overcome their geographical distance like it’s nothing. They text and call each other every day to stay in contact with each other. Truly, there’s nothing can get in the way of true love.
They have never a proper and serious photoshoot before, so it was quite awkward for both of them at first, but then the tension gradually melted away, all thanks to their feeling of longing each other that have been piling up, and they managed to vent it all out through the photoshoot. I also tried a lot of ways to make them feel more relaxed by taking them to different spots in Singapore for the photoshoot such as National Gallery Singapore, Marina Barrage, Chinatown, etc. I also took them to explore the places in Tiong Bahru. In the end, we really enjoyed the entire photoshoot session, and these are the results." - Indra Wijaya
“I’ve known Candice since we were kids. We went to the same kindergarten until junior high school, and we’ve known each other pretty well ever since. I’m so glad that I can become a huge part of Candice and Nigel's prewedding in Bali. Never have I thought that the innocent Candice can end up with the very romantic Nigel. Sometimes I envy them because those two are always by each other’s side, even at work, since they work as flight attendants together. And every moment feels like a honeymoon for them. At first, I was afraid that it’d be very awkward for me to meet Nigel, since he is a Singaporean and is quite stiff, according to Candice. Fortunately, it was all good! We effortlessly broke the ice the moment we met, and it wasn’t hard to take pictures of them. Even though we only got a day to do the photoshoot and had to deal with rainy Bali, I am extremely pleased with the results!” - Donatus Ariel
The first time they met each other was at the university. At first, Andrew thought that Felicia is a very pretty girl with a hint of arrogance, but after getting to know her, she’s not that kind of person. She is very outgoing, chatty, and a bit shy.
The moment Andrew proposed was so awkward for him. So awkward that he even forgot to say, “will you marry me?” to Felicia. And the rest of the proposal is history.
They are very picky when scouting for the photographer. They wanted a photographer that can magnificently capture every single genuine moment of them, and thus, they unanimously landed their decision on Donatus Ariel, because they believed that he is the right person. Even though Ariel was not so healthy during the photoshoot, Ariel was able sweep that under the rug and make the extraordinary photographs that exceeded their expectations.
Last but not least, they were very thankful to Sylvia the stylist, who happens to be their best friend and works at Nomina.

Rico & Ririn PreWedding | Sapporo
Everything started when they first exchanged “hello” way back in high school, which later grows to be a very strong tree of love. It takes a whole lot of patience and loyalty during their journey, they managed to survive a LDR for a quite long time. The long wait was finally over on July 2017, Rico arranged a romantic proposal in front of their family and friends. That went so well and finally Ririn said yes!
Sumba was their initial pick before landing their choice on Sapporo as the place to immortalize their special moment. As you can see, the cold winter did not even stop them from showing the warmth of their affection to each other.
They are a prime example of the saying that goes, “True love will always find its way.” No matter what obstacle may come before them, true love is and will always guide them.
Their choice for their pre-wedding photoshoot landed on Bali, a superb location for a superb couple. Throughout the entire session of photoshoot, their affection for each other is everywhere that anyone can notice it in an instant.
It was the first year of middle school when Michael and Erwinda knew each other. It was a young love; they got to know each other through text messages, and they were very shy when they dated, so shy that they barely ever went out together. The young love didn’t last very long, which was only 9 months and they broke up.
Years later, they went to the same high school, but it was very awkward for them that they barely greeted each other back then. Not until they were on the senior year of high school. Michael approached Erwinda and asked to give their relationship another shot, since they had matured over the years. He wanted to start over properly with her because she is his first love. Sure, he seemed different, but he was still as stiff and nervous as ever.
Erwinda and her friends were planning to go to Bandung, and Michael who weren’t that close to her friends was willing to go with her to Bandung. Even before they go to Bandung, Erwinda had told Michael not to ask her out if her friends asked him to, because she had yet to move on from her last relationship. However, Michael seemed to have made up his mind and asked her out anyway, which obviously ended up in him being rejected. The two of them got closer after they got back from Bandung.
It was Christmas Eve, and Erwinda was out with her friends. Michael told her that he’s hungry and wanted her to go on a dinner with him before he went to church and she agreed to it. And that’s where Michael asked her out again, with a bouquet full of flowers at the passenger seat. Erwinda finally said yes and the rest is history.
There were no sweet proposals even though Erwinda wished for one and she always mentioned it whenever they walked by a jewelry store.
As for the prewedding photoshoot, they decided on Bangkok. However, since both of them had never been there before, they had a difficulty in deciding on the location of the photoshoot. Fortunately, they have a friend who once had a photoshoot in Bangkok that they could ask, and of course Indra’s experience which was very helpful on making the decision.
The most memorable moment from the whole photoshoot trip was the fact that it was extremely sunny that day and they had to wear a suit and a dress. Even Indra got tanned a lot.
Also, another memorable moment was when they were stopping by at a local restaurant and it took a lot of effort for them to get the menu because the waiter couldn’t comprehend what they were saying since he doesn’t understand English.
"To me, they are a unique couple of lovers. Started as best friends, they did not show any difficulties when I took pictures of them. Their chemistry is all over the places; they joke around a lot. Occasionally, Yanto would come up with a bad joke, and it brought smile and laughter to Septi’s face. Among all photo sessions that we had, the one I like the most is when we were at Melasti. There was a car rental nearby with a very reasonable price, and we spent about thirty minutes to take pictures of them and I saw each of them, showing their true self." - Donatus Ariel
"Melina has always been my friend, even before I became a photographer. She told me that she wanted to have both her wedding and pre-wedding in Italy, since she really wanted to explore the country. We ended up having a lot of meetings and decided on the destinations, namely Cinque Terre, Dolomites, Venice, Lake Como, and Milan. It was a long, enjoyable 10-day trip. We all had the chance to explore Italy.
Alvin is a very chilled person with a laid-back personality. At first, Mel told us that Alvin doesn’t like being photographed, and I told Mel, “We got this,” which blew away her cloud of doubt. We had a great team on board; we had Niccolas from Nomina, and Bubah Alfian as the makeup artist.
The trip turned out to be a fun and unforgettable trip, and here are their pre-wedding photographs. I would like to extend my greatest gratitude for entrusting me to be your photographer of choice. We will soon give an update on their wedding, which is also my very first wedding photography experience in Italy."- Benny Lim

Michael Alinskie & Sherly PreWedding | Japan
"Who doesn't know Japan? A country which everyone would love to visit, with Sakura being the main reason.
The first time I met Mike and Sherly, I was quite surprised to know that Sherly lives outside of Jakarta and was willing to come all the way to Jakarta for a meeting. We discussed about a lot of things in the first meeting, such as the photographs, the outfits, and the mood. Initially, they had their pre-wedding shoots planned in New Zealand. However, after a lot of calculations, they decided to have their pre-wedding shoots done in Japan.
We did the photoshoot all day long in Tokyo. The makeup on Sherly was done by Winnie, who has been very helpful to me because she's more familiar of Tokyo than I do.
If there's one thing that I admire from Mike and Sherly, it would be their effort. Despite of the cold weather, Sherly did not even complain about it. They managed to maintain the good mood even though they were exhausted, which is very crucial in a photoshoot. They were able to look romantic in every moment.
I sincerely hope that there are no obstacles in their way until the wedding day. Thank you very much for putting your trust in me to perpetuate your pre-wedding photos." - Indra Wijaya
