PreWedding I

Louis & Rova — Singapore

"The first time I met with Rova was at the end of last year when we were discussing about the preparation of their pre-wedding photoshoot in Singapore. I was quite confused when we met because Rova came to me by herself. It turns out that Louis is staying in Germany for work, when Sylvi and I asked her about it, and they have been in a long-distance relationship for a long while. Another question that popped up in my head was why they didn’t decide on Germany as their photoshoot destination, since there are so many beautiful places in Germany. It’s because that they love oriental and Chinese-themed photoshoot. They initially decided on Shanghai, but after they put everything into consideration, they ended up with Singapore as their pre-wedding photoshoot destination.

Long story short, one thing that amazes me the most about them is when a couple committed to a long-distance relationship for many years, they only get to meet each other every once in a blue moon, and yet they managed to overcome the obstacles, even though they are miles apart, and Jakarta and Stuttgart are 5 hours apart from each other. They overcome their geographical distance like it’s nothing. They text and call each other every day to stay in contact with each other. Truly, there’s nothing can get in the way of true love.

They have never a proper and serious photoshoot before, so it was quite awkward for both of them at first, but then the tension gradually melted away, all thanks to their feeling of longing each other that have been piling up, and they managed to vent it all out through the photoshoot. I also tried a lot of ways to make them feel more relaxed by taking them to different spots in Singapore for the photoshoot such as National Gallery Singapore, Marina Barrage, Chinatown, etc. I also took them to explore the places in Tiong Bahru. In the end, we really enjoyed the entire photoshoot session, and these are the results."
