Andres & Elvira Wedding
“As a wedding photographer, I've always admired a couple's chemistry because that spark, love and affection in their eyes are what I aspire to capture. That is what makes every couple different and special.
Andres and Elvira have a chemistry that I can easily capture, they are so natural to photograph and so loving to each other even though they are in a long-distance relationship. This showed me that distance does not matter when it comes to love. They were not only kind to each other, but they are also kind towards me which made our communication so easy, it felt like I was talking to old friends. At the day of the wedding, their parents wanted to take pictures with me because they enjoyed being photographed by me. That warms my heart because it means I have done my job well and they enjoyed my company. To Andres and Elvira, I hope you stay awesome and romantic! I've seen your chemistry in action and it is beautiful, may it grow stronger each day and I believe both of you have the capacity to face the world when you have each other. God bless you always.” - Gideon Winata
“Life sometimes has a way to bring people together, like how Edbert and Jessica were brought together. Edbert went to a Catholic youth community in Sydney to accompany a girl he had a crush on. Surprise surprise, the girl never came again, but Edbert chose to stay. There, Edbert met Jessica. They quickly became close friends, and Edbert finally asked Jessica out to be his girlfriend.
They became engaged in April 2017 when Edbert proposed to her at a beach in the outer part of Sydney. The proposal was a beautiful surprise to Jessica as it was a day after her birthday and she was only expecting a birthday surprise, not a proposal. They finally set a wedding date in January 2019 and chose Bali as their venue because they wanted an intimate wedding to celebrate it with close family and friends.
When preparing for the ceremony, Jessica told me stories about her relationship with Edbert, it turns out there were a lot of sacrifices and struggles they had to go through during their courtship. Their love endured and became stronger in the process and that was what made their love for each very special.
As devout Catholics, Edbert and Jessica held their holy matrimony in a church. The wedding ceremony was followed by a re-vow at a romantic outdoor venue, where they proclaimed their personal vows in front of close family and friends, it was truly a special moment and they never thought it would be emotional and filled with happy tears. It was truly a blessed evening because the weather was perfect.
The wedding reception was truly memorable because their best men and bridesmaid gave touching testimonies to Edbert and Jessica. And finally, Jessica's family sang "Can't Help Falling in Love" and made the whole atmosphere special.
My hope for Edbert and Jessica is for them to always support each other and be responsible parents when the time comes. Because knowing their journey together I am certain that they are able to build a loving and harmonious family.” - Donatus Ariel
“Sonny and Bellyana met in high school, Sonny was her senior and just moved back from Singapore. At the time, because MSN messenger was the main online platform two high schoolers used to communicate, they expressed their love for each other through MSN messenger. I imagine it was a cute and sweet moment for the young lovers.
Their love was young and full of life even though there were ups and downs along the way. What was important was they went through everything together. It was not always easy, but they chose to stay with each other and understood the meaning of commitment.
Finally, after 9-10 years of dating and getting to know each other, Sonny and Bellyana decided to get married. With their parent’s approval, they’ve finally decided on a date.
The ceremony was a very special occasion, it was an accumulation of their 10 years together. Everyone, including myself, was touched and teary-eyed knowing their love kept getting stronger each year.
Shooting their wedding day was not only a touching experience, but it was also full of happiness and surprises! Shane from Westlife sang at the wedding which made everything much more surreal. What made the after party more special was how Sonny and his close friends sang their heart out expressing the joy they felt that day.
My wish for them is to set an example for their friends because any relationship that has stood the test of time need more than love, it needs commitment. May the both of you be a blessing to everyone around you. Have cute little kids soon too!”- Donatus Ariel
Nelson and Tasha first met at a Christmas party back in August 2013, they could still remember the huge teddy bear that was displayed at the party.
In the early stages of dating, Nelson went to Singapore to visit Tasha where she was pursuing her studies. It was as a lovely and memorable gesture that showed how much they were willing to make their relationship thrive.
Nelson and Tasha were not strangers to me. I've known them previously when they had their pre-wedding shoot with Benny. And I remembered how lovely, fun and easy they were to work with, which made me excited to shoot them on their big day.
Their wedding ceremony was short (15 minutes to be exact) but incredibly beautiful and memorable. But within those short minutes, I had the pleasure to capture their love for one another.
Congratulations once again to both of you for your beautiful wedding. Wish you a lifetime full of health and happiness. Hope you'll have kids real soon and keep in touch! - Indra Wijaya
“When people ask how Felix and Hanna met, they would always say that it sounds like the beginning of a Korean romantic drama because it sounds so magical and meant to be. They met by coincidence when they were pursuing their studies in Melbourne, Australia. With a little help from Hanna's best friend slash match-maker, their romance started and bloomed, they ended up dating for 4.5 years.
But the magic, the spark we often see in movies that they have didn't stop on the day they met. As their love grew, the magic grows with it. And everyone could see that magic at the climax of their love story on Felix and Hanna's wedding day. During their vows, there were no dry eyes in the room, their love for each other moves the hearts of the people around them. Holding back tears they made a sacred promise to one another to always have and to lovingly hold. It was a beautiful ceremony and I was honored to have captured their intimate and magical moment.
Knowing their sweet little story of how they met, knowing their strength and willingness to grow according to God's plan made the wedding day even more special, and I am so grateful to have been a small part of it.” - Donatus Ariel
“Johan and Finna was a joy to shoot, from the pre-wedding session in the studio and Mt. Bromo to their beautiful and long-awaited wedding day in Bali. In these photo sessions, Johan and Finna always had incredible energy and chemistry it was so easy and exciting for me to capture their love story.
No matter the weather, laughter always fills the space whenever they are around. When exploring photos and poses, Johan’s funny and spontaneous gestures never cease to make everyone laugh, especially Finna. Their wedding day was a joyous and loving occasion, I attended their wedding as a photographer but I was welcomed as a friend. The photography team was asked to join their after party and it was truly unforgettable.
My wish for Johan and Finna is to stay happy and blissful always!
And hopefully, have kids soon! May abundant blessings always come your way.” - Indra Wijaya
“Reinaldo (closely known as Edo) and Beatrice went to the same university: Tarumanagara Univerity. They both enrolled in the medical faculty. That's probably where their love story began. Even when they were interning at separate places, their faithfulness towards each other was being put to test. Fortunately, they were able to go through it until their marriage in Bali, the one that they've been always dreaming of.
The first time I met Beatrice, she seems like a very fun and exciting person. Starting from the preparation, holy matrimony, until the reception, Edo and Beatrice enjoyed every second of their momentous occasion. I hope they can maintain their relationship into further steps.
Everything in their photoshoot session sailed smoothly and nothing went wrong. It's because they planned every bit of their wedding to perfection even though they were having a long-distance relationship. I was very satisfied with the team's work when we were in Bali. Everything was very well-scheduled and well-thought.
During the reception night, Edo told the guests how the two of them met in the first place. Both of them expressed their gratitude and bursted into tears of joy. There's no better way to end a day than that.
The two of you are walking down a very noble path; curing people as your profession. Keep being faithful towards each other, and I hope your children will be as great as, if not better than you both.” - Donatus Ariel
“I just found out about their love story when Brigitta told the guests about it on the wedding day. During middle school, Brigitta wrote a love letter to her future husband, whom she had no idea who he was at that moment. However, she always believed and prayed to God for a kind and caring man to be by her side in her joys and sorrows. As the time goes by, Jason came into her life and tried to get close to Brigitta on his own way, and many attempts were done to win her heart. In short, Brigitta's wish were granted when she spent her days with Jason. Even though there are a lot of men who were trying to get close to Brigitta during school and university days, none of them actually won her heart. Even though it sounds like a drama, it is a true story, and Brigitta read the said letter on the wedding night to proof that her wish of a lifetime has been granted.
I have met with Jason and Brigitta during their engagement. However, it was very packed that we were unable to chat and spend some time to know more of them. Our second meeting was when I was the photographer for their wedding. Jason is a very good-looking man from China, and Brigitta is one of the top influencers in Surabaya. Even though they seem so different, they are united in heart and understand each other. It's also obvious that Jason is bringing Brigitta closer to God.
Their wedding was held in Bali with their big family and their closest friends. I was photographing them all day long and there weren't any significant problems, because they are made for each other. Beautiful and handsome; that's what kept me going until midnight.
The most memorable moment is when Brigitta recited the love letter that she wrote when she was in middle school. Whatever miracle that she wished for has finally been granted and it warms my heart.
I hope you two stay supportive and complete each other's flaws in your married life. Get closer to God and never stop being grateful of the gift that you've been granted with.” - Donatus Ariel
“I first met Reza and Ima in a technical meeting with them. I chatted a lot with them afterward to know more about them. The most impressive moment of that day is when I first saw a cross between Minangnese and Sundanese custom; a very intriguing traditional wedding with a lot of details and moments to capture.
How did the two meet each other? Reza’s friend set him up with Ima. The funny thing is, Reza had a dream where he married a woman whose name was very similar to Ima’s full name.
They are a very kind couple. They know full well of what they like, and they discussed it with me right away. The reason why they chose Nomina is that they noticed us from a friend’s wedding and they adore how Nomina is able to capture the details of a traditional wedding.
It took almost no effort of capturing the moments and details of the wedding. Also, Reza is a very humble and expressive man, while Ima herself needs no effort to have her pictures taken.
Wishing you two a great success at work, and hopefully, you have a child soon and come back to us for more photos!” - Benny Lim
Here are some pictures of our art director Rachel and her husband Billy wedding. Billy and Rachel went to the same elementary school and they’ve known each other ever since. They have been dating for 12 years which is when they were still in middle school.
At the end of 2013, Rachel was suffering from cancer. She was just graduated from university, while Billy was already working in an IT company. Even so, he took care of her every day. He was always by her side, struggled together, during her hard times. Fortunately, she recovered at the end of 2014.
Not long after, Billy told her that he is serious about their relationship and is willing to take it to the next level. However, due to various reasons, they decided to postpone their wedding. It was in 2017, and they were readier, more than ever. They told their parents about it as soon as possible and they were engaged in April 2017.
Getting married in Bali had always been their dream. They had their eyes on Tirtha Bridal long before they decided to get married. Even so, they visited a wedding fair in Jakarta to expand their option, and yet their choice still landed on Tirtha Bridal and they proceeded to book the date right away. They later went to Bali to survey the venue and had a meeting with the team. As soon as they saw the venue, they felt assured with their choice as it fit with their wedding concept: classic, elegant, and timeless, simple yet beautiful.
Their wedding decoration was by @itstruewedding. Rachel gathered the references first, and the she proceeded to create a moodboard, which was later sent to them by email with thorough description. Since the concept of their wedding was classic and elegant, they didn’t want it to be too colorful. Instead, the colors are dominantly white (including the flowers) and grey with a little bit of greenery from the leaf decorations.
After looking at the reception area, the decoration team had the idea to add a gentle touch of gold color on a few props, since the reception room was mostly filled with wooden color and would look stunning with a warm lighting.
The most memorable moment of their wedding is definitely when they spoke their vow. Being in a relationship for 12 years is something, but speaking their vow to each other, promised faithfully to love each other in life and death before the God, is truly exceptional. They spoke their wedding vow in front of their closest friends and relatives with the altar facing the open sea. It was a moment to remember.
Rachel is forever grateful to be a part of Nomina family. After 3 years of joining, Ariel and Indra are not just anybody to them. They are her close friends, more than just colleagues. During the wedding trip, from the rehearsal day until the wedding day, they were very professional and were able to lighten up the mood effortlessly.

It was during lunch break at school that Rizky and Yosephine met for the first time during their study in Shanghai. Both of them are interested in travelling and culinary, which lead them to spend a lot of time going to the iconic places in Shanghai by foot while occasionally stopping by culinary areas. She did not come to Shanghai alone at first but, she felt comfortable and compatible with Rizky. After realizing that, they started their long-distance relationship on the day before Yosephine headed back to Indonesia.
Rizky is not the most romantic person on the planet, so the idea of him doing a sweet proposal never crossed her mind. However, he had been cooperating with the photographer during their prewedding photoshoot in Paris to prepare a sweet proposal which caught her by surprise. At the final photoshoot session, before the Eiffel tower, he kneeled, and asked her, “Will you marry me?” with a rose-shaped custom-made ring.
Since the two of them originated from different cities, they chose Bali as their wedding venue. As a result, this decision turned out to be their biggest challenge since they had to keep going back and forth to Bali to prepare the wedding, and they knew nothing of the vendors in Bali. Fortunately, Hilda was very helpful as their consultant, and after they found the wedding organizer that clicked with them, they helped a lot with the vendor scouting.
For the theme of the wedding, their decision landed on rustic, warm, and earthy theme that goes really well with their outdoor wedding. They then matched the vendors with the theme and concept of their wedding.
Yosephine’s gorgeous wedding dress is modelled after the idea of a mermaid with a simple yet elegant look. The attention to detail is second to none; the detail in the fabric has roots and leaves motif, sewn with pearls.
To match the wedding decoration with the concept that they had in mind, they utilized a lot of wood and leaf elements on the decoration. As for the color palettes, the main colors are brown, natural green, ivory, bronze, champagne, and cream.
The greatest highlight of the wedding for them was when the two of them performed their very first duet of Butterfly Waltz with Rizky on the piano and Yosephine on the violin. Rizky took her to the dance floor, dance solemnly, and ended with a wedding kiss as the finale.
The moment that left the greatest impression for the both of them was during the holy matrimony where they actually felt that a new chapter of their life was about to begin. From the moment they walked to the altar their eyes had gotten teary and the apex was when they spoke their wedding vow that they had prepared.

Calvin & Nathasa Wedding
Natasha was introduced to Calvin by his friend, Setiawan. He was so eager and enthusiastic to introduce her to him, in addition to Calvin already attracted to her just by looking at pictures of her. When they finally met each other, they got along very easily as if they are meant for each other. It didn’t even take a long time for them to start dating.
Calvin came up with the idea to propose with a video, showing how they met each other, photos of the two of them, and at the end of the video says, “Will you marry me?”. It was March 30, 2017, the day he decided to propose. He was very nervous the entire day, not because of he was afraid of getting rejected, but because it marks a huge advancement in their life. Later that day, they arrived at Calvin’s house. He hurriedly set everything up: importing the video into his phone, turning on the aircon and the TV, and setting up a camera to record her reaction. He later told Natasha to get into his room, and he went to the bathroom, saying that he wanted to do the number two. He remotely played the video on the TV from his phone, and he timed his appearance before her right at the ending of the video. Then, he kneeled before her and she started to cry out of joy.
Calvin and Natasha have always agreed that their wedding should be projected as something that they really want, and they were very eager to get involved in the entire planning process. Therefore, the concept of their wedding was mainly hippy, industrial, and rustic, which was heavily inspired by the trending themes such as Kaidang and Kinfolk. This theme suits them very much.
Huge thanks to Amor from Classy Décor for successfully translated all of their decoration ideas into an amazing work. Calvin told Amor that he wanted every guest to feel comfortable and can take pictures easily (since it is one of the main issues that is often occurred in weddings). Therefore, the decoration is designed around that idea.
Amor offered to them a design/style that has yet to become a trend in Indonesia, which turned out that they liked it so much because everything that they wanted in their wedding is there; starting from the materials such as steel, cloth, acrylic, until floral ornaments for the rustic nuance. Everything was not only designed in coherence with each other, but also was very comfortable for the guests to walk around, which met, if not exceeded their expectation.
The moment that left the most impression on them was when they were at the grand entrance by the reception. During the rehearsal, people said that they were very stiff like a prince and princess who were way too formal and awkward, and it didn’t go well with the song that they chose, which is Viva La Vida by Coldplay. The MC, Didi, later told them, not only the bride and the groom, but also the respective families, bestmen/bridesmaids to dance and move to the beat to break the ice, and it worked like a charm. They had so much fun and didn’t seem tacky at all.
The highlight of the wedding is when they sat down and looked at the Same Day Edit process by Nomina team. They honestly had high hopes on Nomina team and were eagerly waiting for the results of the Same Day Edit, which exceeded their high expectation. They were so impressed that the results left them speechless. It felt like they found their kind of “happily ever after”.
The two first met in their college years in Melbourne and stayed in contact again 7 years later. Aris had to stay in Surabaya for 3 months due to work. They kept on texting each other to stay in touch and they were as close as a couple before they know it; they kept the other person informed of the little things that they do. Then, the day when Aris had to go back to Jakarta arrived. Aris told Inez that he would visit Surabaya frequently to meet her. And thus, they went on for 3 and a half years, until the wedding day arrives.
Aris once asked Inez of her ring size, which made Inez filled with anticipation. However, Aris didn’t propose right away. Instead, he waited long enough for Inez to grow tired of waiting and he made his move and proposed, which caught Inez by surprise.
Fortunately, they didn’t face a lot of difficulties when they were preparing for the wedding. Inez and Aris’s amazing mother singlehandedly took care the most of it. Furthermore, Inez got to choose the vendors of her liking.
They may not be the most romantic couple on the planet, but they settled for a sweet, romantic, and elegant theme for this momentous occasion. The main colors palette of the wedding are white and pink, with some champagne involved. Inez described the vibe that she wanted and trusted the decoration to the decorator as she is not the most detailed person. And it all turned out to be a very beautiful wedding. We wish Aris & Inez a lot of happy years together!

It all first started when the two of them get acquainted with each other through Facebook, and the first time the two of them met was when Ryan was heading down the escalator, while Michelle was heading up.
After 7 years of dating, Ryan brought Michelle to a dinner, in which she thought it was a regular dinner and jokingly asked for a ring. Little did she know that Ryan had it all planned out and caught her off guard by handing out the ring and proposed to her.
Doing the planning for the wedding was the hardest part. The key is to keep on informing each other and the parents of both sides. Vendor scouting was also a challenge for them, because it was not easy for them to find the vendors that matches with what exactly that they wanted.
Simple and romantic wedding concept always works. Ryan and Michelle went for the classic white concept for their wedding, for it is a sacred matrimony. As for the building decoration, they went for the rustic theme. Initially, they wanted to have their wedding to be celebrated outdoors. However, the concern of rain and getting sweaty crossed their mind caused them to switch to indoor, but they didn’t want to entirely abandon the idea of outdoor wedding, so they ended up with indoor wedding with outdoor nuance.
The wedding dress is definitely a crucial part of the wedding, since it is only worn once in a lifetime. The search for the wedding dress had even reached Jakarta, but they had yet to find the right one. They then tried going to the wedding dress designer in Semarang, even though they were skeptical at first. In the end, Michelle gathered all her guts to meet with Bramanta Wijaya, and it turned out that the designer is a very nice person. Thanks to the great designer, she loves herself more than ever.
The most memorable moment for them was when they walked into the church together, as that was their wish to do so, and when they vowed on each other. We wish Ryan & Michelle a wonderful life together!
"Carleton & Tiffanie’s wedding was exactly one day after I got back from a wedding in Italy, and it was my first time going to a new four-season country, and it’s a very intriguing place.
What’s more intriguing is Tiff & Carleton’s personality. With their laid-back personality, the wedding went without a hitch. It felt so enjoyable that I didn’t even feel like working.
The event went on for 2 days with an after party to conclude. The most exciting part is the games session. The bridesmaids and the groomsmen were so hilarious that we were able to capture those lively moments on that day.
Also, there was this one moment where Tiff’s brother sang during the reception. Tiff shed a tear and I was also moved at that moment. Greatest thanks to all of the vendors who had cooperated well on that day." - Benny Lim
