Stanley & Cindy

“Stanley and Cindy are a rather unique couple to me. They are neighbors, went to the US for university, and they met again when they came back to Indonesia and started a relationship since then.

At first, I thought that Stanley is very stiff and would let Cindy take care of the pre-wedding photoshoot, because Cindy did handle everything. After chatting and getting know more about them, I found out that Cindy is more into fashion than Stanley. I have been trusted twice to be their pre-wedding photographer: studio and outdoor (Mount Pancar). They even trusted me again to be their wedding photographer. Starting from the concept and outfit selection, I really liked them and was very passionate to photograph them.

When we were at the studio, they brought Shimo (Cindy's dog) to join them in the frame, which significantly improved their mood and they seemed to enjoy every moment of it. They are a couple that can easily fit into every concept, because they look so natural and makes everything so easy and effortless. We didn't run into any issues at all during the photoshoot. In fact, I enjoyed it so much.

Our second meeting was when we were at Mount Pancar. It was as early as 6:30am in the morning and we had 3 concepts in mind. We finished the first two without any issues. It was almost noon when we were about to shoot for the third concept but Stanley seemed to be tired and hungry. Therefore, we decided to take a short break. Not long after, Stanley came back to us with a huge smile on his face along with a meatball vendor that he called to fill our stomach. When me, the team, and Cindy had finished our meal, Stanley was still chowing down his third bowl. He was starving because he didn't have anything since morning. We wrapped up our photoshoot for the third concept just in time as the rain began to pour. I felt very fortunate that day, as if the God had planned it all out, and we were able to head back to Jakarta with joy and satisfaction.
