PreWedding I

Michael & Erwinda — Bangkok

It was the first year of middle school when Michael and Erwinda knew each other. It was a young love; they got to know each other through text messages, and they were very shy when they dated, so shy that they barely ever went out together. The young love didn’t last very long, which was only 9 months and they broke up.

Years later, they went to the same high school, but it was very awkward for them that they barely greeted each other back then. Not until they were on the senior year of high school. Michael approached Erwinda and asked to give their relationship another shot, since they had matured over the years. He wanted to start over properly with her because she is his first love. Sure, he seemed different, but he was still as stiff and nervous as ever.

Erwinda and her friends were planning to go to Bandung, and Michael who weren’t that close to her friends was willing to go with her to Bandung. Even before they go to Bandung, Erwinda had told Michael not to ask her out if her friends asked him to, because she had yet to move on from her last relationship. However, Michael seemed to have made up his mind and asked her out anyway, which obviously ended up in him being rejected. The two of them got closer after they got back from Bandung.

It was Christmas Eve, and Erwinda was out with her friends. Michael told her that he’s hungry and wanted her to go on a dinner with him before he went to church and she agreed to it. And that’s where Michael asked her out again, with a bouquet full of flowers at the passenger seat. Erwinda finally said yes and the rest is history.

There were no sweet proposals even though Erwinda wished for one and she always mentioned it whenever they walked by a jewelry store.

As for the prewedding photoshoot, they decided on Bangkok. However, since both of them had never been there before, they had a difficulty in deciding on the location of the photoshoot. Fortunately, they have a friend who once had a photoshoot in Bangkok that they could ask, and of course Indra’s experience which was very helpful on making the decision.

The most memorable moment from the whole photoshoot trip was the fact that it was extremely sunny that day and they had to wear a suit and a dress. Even Indra got tanned a lot.

Also, another memorable moment was when they were stopping by at a local restaurant and it took a lot of effort for them to get the menu because the waiter couldn’t comprehend what they were saying since he doesn’t understand English.
