“Life sometimes has a way to bring people together, like how Edbert and Jessica were brought together. Edbert went to a Catholic youth community in Sydney to accompany a girl he had a crush on. Surprise surprise, the girl never came again, but Edbert chose to stay. There, Edbert met Jessica. They quickly became close friends, and Edbert finally asked Jessica out to be his girlfriend.

They became engaged in April 2017 when Edbert proposed to her at a beach in the outer part of Sydney. The proposal was a beautiful surprise to Jessica as it was a day after her birthday and she was only expecting a birthday surprise, not a proposal. They finally set a wedding date in January 2019 and chose Bali as their venue because they wanted an intimate wedding to celebrate it with close family and friends.

When preparing for the ceremony, Jessica told me stories about her relationship with Edbert, it turns out there were a lot of sacrifices and struggles they had to go through during their courtship. Their love endured and became stronger in the process and that was what made their love for each very special.

As devout Catholics, Edbert and Jessica held their holy matrimony in a church. The wedding ceremony was followed by a re-vow at a romantic outdoor venue, where they proclaimed their personal vows in front of close family and friends, it was truly a special moment and they never thought it would be emotional and filled with happy tears. It was truly a blessed evening because the weather was perfect.

The wedding reception was truly memorable because their best men and bridesmaid gave touching testimonies to Edbert and Jessica. And finally, Jessica's family sang "Can't Help Falling in Love" and made the whole atmosphere special.

My hope for Edbert and Jessica is for them to always support each other and be responsible parents when the time comes. Because knowing their journey together I am certain that they are able to build a loving and harmonious family.”
