It was during lunch break at school that Rizky and Yosephine met for the first time during their study in Shanghai. Both of them are interested in travelling and culinary, which lead them to spend a lot of time going to the iconic places in Shanghai by foot while occasionally stopping by culinary areas. She did not come to Shanghai alone at first but, she felt comfortable and compatible with Rizky. After realizing that, they started their long-distance relationship on the day before Yosephine headed back to Indonesia.

Rizky is not the most romantic person on the planet, so the idea of him doing a sweet proposal never crossed her mind. However, he had been cooperating with the photographer during their prewedding photoshoot in Paris to prepare a sweet proposal which caught her by surprise. At the final photoshoot session, before the Eiffel tower, he kneeled, and asked her, “Will you marry me?” with a rose-shaped custom-made ring.

Since the two of them originated from different cities, they chose Bali as their wedding venue. As a result, this decision turned out to be their biggest challenge since they had to keep going back and forth to Bali to prepare the wedding, and they knew nothing of the vendors in Bali. Fortunately, Hilda was very helpful as their consultant, and after they found the wedding organizer that clicked with them, they helped a lot with the vendor scouting.

For the theme of the wedding, their decision landed on rustic, warm, and earthy theme that goes really well with their outdoor wedding. They then matched the vendors with the theme and concept of their wedding.

Yosephine’s gorgeous wedding dress is modelled after the idea of a mermaid with a simple yet elegant look. The attention to detail is second to none; the detail in the fabric has roots and leaves motif, sewn with pearls.

To match the wedding decoration with the concept that they had in mind, they utilized a lot of wood and leaf elements on the decoration. As for the color palettes, the main colors are brown, natural green, ivory, bronze, champagne, and cream.

The greatest highlight of the wedding for them was when the two of them performed their very first duet of Butterfly Waltz with Rizky on the piano and Yosephine on the violin. Rizky took her to the dance floor, dance solemnly, and ended with a wedding kiss as the finale.

The moment that left the greatest impression for the both of them was during the holy matrimony where they actually felt that a new chapter of their life was about to begin. From the moment they walked to the altar their eyes had gotten teary and the apex was when they spoke their wedding vow that they had prepared.
